A session on ‘WHO AM I’ (Self Development is part of equipping students for the Hospitality Industry)was held by Ms. Farida D'Silva Dias a qualified Psychologist, Educator and Chairperson of Jeevan Community Centre (JCC), Panjim, Goa. As the Chairperson of the YMCA Western India Region Women's Forum, and Coordinator for the Panjim YMCA, she has been instrumental in initiating and conducting several community outreach programs/ workshops/ projects for displaced/ under-privileged children, youth, senior citizens, HIV affected children, as well as Climate Change and Health awareness.

Respecting Gender Differences
Dr. Shaila De Souza, a Phd from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and the HOD, Women Studies, Goa University was invited to deliver a lecture on the topic of SEXUAL HARASSMENT as part of a series of talks being held on respecting Gender differences.
Promoting the culture of life
The Don Bosco College, Panaji, Goa, in collaboration with the National Institute of Social Defence, New Delhi conducted a “One Day Sensitization programme on Drug abuse prevention” and organized a Poster making competition on the above topic on the 23rd of March 2017. Our students Ms.Rucha Khare and Mr. Krishna Prasad of BBA I year participated in the poster making competition and brought home the first prize.
The President of the Fomento Educational and Charitable Society, Mrs. Anju Timblo addressed the students of the College on the 25th of October 2016 sharing useful pointers and valuable advise for budding aspirants in hospitality . The students of BBA Sufeeyan Khan and Isha Natekar are adjudged the 1st Runners Up at the 'GOAN CHEF CHALLENGE' held at the Goa Food and Hospitality Expo in September 2015. The students were felicitated by none other than the very famous Celebrity Chef, Ranveer Brar.
Students at the Semana da Cultura Indo - Portuguesa - Goa 2015
A celebration of Indian and Portuguese culture including art, cinema, music, cuisine, theatre, literature and food ended with a two day Food and Musical Festival, at whichthe College put up a stall ensuring students gained valuable exposure.

A session by Grover Zampa was organized for the students of the College to educate them on wines – how to taste wine, the colours of different wines, types of flavours present in wine and a brief on viticulture were among the topics covered. This was followed by a question and answer session.
A day with Chef. Nicolas Bercovicci
The students had Chef. Nicolas Bercovicci, who specializes in French and Italian cuisine provide them valuable inputs. Chef. Nicolas has worked in Disneyland, Orlando, USA besides having worked in several other countries such as Australia, Canada, France and Switzerland.
A day with Chef. Ines Soares
Specialist Chef. Ines is a Catering Hospitality specialist based in Dubai, U.A.E. Her background comes from planning and operating some of the World's best kitchens including the Dubai World Cup and creating awesome dining experiences such as the 'Auraylia' restaurant at the stunning Victoria Golf and Country Resort in Sri Lanka.

A Workshop on 'Safety and Self Defense' was held for students by Mr. Mahesh Kamat of 'Wu Tao Wellness' who has 29 years of experience in fitness and martial arts
